2'-Deoxyadenosine-5'-monophosphate disodium salt is a nucleic acid AMP derivative found in DNA. 2?-Deoxyadenosine 5?-monophosphate disodium can be used to study adenosine-based interactions during DNA synthesis and DNA damage. 2'-Deoxyadenosine-5'-monophosphate disodium salt reacts with chloride ions to form 2',3'-diacetylpyridine-5'-diphosphate dibasic chloride, which has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth and act as an antibacterial agent.
