Description and Uses
It is an important raw material and intermediate used in Organic Synthesis, Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals. They are used in wide range of applications such as colorants and aroma chemicals. They are used in manufacturing detergents and biodiesel. They also act as catalysts in polymerization and isomerizations. Other uses include used for formation of ethers. Also acts as a moderately strong base for deprotonation and base catalysed reactions.
