Description and Uses
C12-15 Alketh-9 is a polyethylene glycol ether of a mixture of synthetic C12-15 fatty alcohols with an average of 9 moles of ethylene oxide.
Fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ethers (such as C12-15 PARETH-2) are addition products of fatty alcohols and ethylene oxide. They possess wetting, emulsifying, dispersing, degreasing, and cleaning abilities, effectively reducing interfacial tension. Depending on the number of ethylene oxide additions, they can be used as water-in-oil/oil-in-water emulsifiers, penetrants, and degreasing aids, and are widely applicable to various water-based and some solvent-based formulation systems.
