Description and Uses
Benzyl 2-naphthyl ether: a temperature-sensitive sensitizing agent.
Benzyl 2-naphthyl ether is a white or pale yellow powder, 304～309 ℃ of fusing points, and solvability is dissolved in all solvents hardly, can be used as heat-sensitive paint and is used for producing temperature-sensitive paper and medical aspects.
Benzyl 2-naphthyl ether is mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry for the synthesis of benzyloxynaphthyl penicillin, and is also widely used in the synthesis of fragrances, such as soap fragrances, cosmetic fragrances, strawberry fragrances and blended fragrances. It can also be used as a thermal coating to produce thermal paper and thermal recording paper, such as thermal carbon paper, graduated recording paper in instruments, and various receipts and invoices.
