It is a pharmaceutical intermediate compound and a by-product in the preparation of LCZ696 (Sacubitril/valsartan). LCZ696 InteMediate can also be used to synthesize (R,E)-5-([1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl)-4-((tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino)-2-methylpent-2-enoic acid.

LCZ696 InteMediate is a useful intermediate for preparing Sacubitril (S080900)/Valsartan (V095750).
