Description and Uses
1-Methylbenzimidazole-6-carboxylic Acid is used as a reagent in the synthesis of aminopyridine-derived amides as nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase inhibitors. Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of nitazoxanide-N-methylbenzimidazole hybrids which exhibit antiprotozoal activity.
