Description and Uses
5-(2-Fluorophenyl)-5-oxovaleric Acid is used as a reagent in the preparation of indole derivatives which act as cell protective agents. It is also used as a reagent in the catalytic N-nitroso aldol reaction of γ,δ-unsaturated δ-lactones.
