Description and Uses
Isooctyl acetate is a high-boiling-point acetate solvent with strong dissolving power and slow volatility. It is used as an additive in high-grade paints, coatings, and leather brighteners. It is widely used as a slow-drying solvent and leveling agent in high-end coatings, industrial inks, and adhesives, improving film gloss and coating uniformity. In leather brightener formulations, it imparts a smooth and glossy appearance to leather. It can also be used as a raw material for synthetic fragrances, and in industrial cleaning agents and resin dilution systems, compatible with various acrylic, polyurethane, and nitrocellulose resin systems.
