Description and Uses
Isopropyl tiglate is sweet, minty. It may be prepared by photolysis of 2,2,5,5-tetramethyldihydro-3-furanone in methanol; also by esterification of 3-methyl-2-butenoic acid with isopropyl alcohol in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid.
