Cerium nitrate refers to a series of nitrate compounds of cerium, mainly in different oxidation states, commonly +3 or +4 oxidation states.
Cerium nitrate can be used together with silver sulfadiazine as a promising new topical antiseptic for the treatment of burns. Cerium nitrate can enhance the anti-inflammatory effect of silver dressings
