Description and Uses
Toluenesulfonamide (also known as o/p-toluenesulfonamide, OPTSA) is a mixture of o- and p-toluenesulfonamide isomers. It appears as a white crystalline powder. OPTSA is primarily used as a reactive plasticizer in polymer plastics and synthetic resins to improve the flexibility, gloss, and flow properties of thermosetting and thermoplastic resins. It is also used in the manufacture of dyes, pigments, and hot-melt adhesives.
The application of toluene sulfonamide is as follows: 1) Used in the manufacture of dyes, plasticizer, synthetic resin, nail polish, fluorescence paints and coatings, 2) Used in organic synthesis. 3) Used in organic glass phenolic resin & polyamide resin and plasticizer of printing ink & Hot Melt Adhesive.etc.
