Description and Uses

Silver 2,4-pentanedionate is used to make silver impregnated nanocrystalline metal oxides, with special emphasis on aluminum oxide. It is used as a cationization reagent in combination with polar matrices such as 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid.
