Description and Uses
m-PEG13-NHS ester is a PEG linker containing an NHS ester. The NHS ester can be used to label the primary amines (-NH2) of proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
MPEG11-NHS (also known as methyl-PEG11-NHS ester and mPEG11-CH2CH2COONHS ester; CAS 756525-94-7) is a linear, monodisperse polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivative. It carries a methoxy group at one end and an NHS ester group at the other. The NHS ester is highly reactive with primary amines and is capable of forming stable amide bonds with proteins, peptides and other biomolecules. It is primarily used for polyethylene glycolisation to enhance the solubility, stability and circulation time of drugs.
