Description and Uses
5,5,5-Trifluorovaleric Acid is used in the fluorination of mammalian cell surfaces via the sialic acid biosynthetic pathway. It is also used to prepare paddlewheel copper fluorinated alkyl/aryl carboxylate complexes.
