Description and Uses
Ethylphenylhydrazine Hydrochloride is an important starting material for Etodolac (E933100), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). Etodolac displays anti-inflammatory effects in both adjuvant arthritic and normal rats. Etodolac is an anti-inflammatory; analgesic.
