Description and Uses
3-Hydroxy-4'-methoxy-2-naphthanilide is mainly used as a base agent for dyeing and printing cotton fabrics red. It has moderate affinity and coupling ability for cotton and its performance is similar to that of Naphthol AS-OL (CI37530). It is also used for dyeing vinylon, viscose fiber, silk, diacetate fiber and cotton printing, and can also be used as an intermediate for fast pigments.
