Description and Uses
8-Methoxypyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid trisodium salt is a water-soluble, cell-impermeant, pH-insensitive and non-fixable fluorescent probe used as a polar tracer for studies of cell division, cell lysis, or liposome fusion.
Highly water soluble superpolar fluorescent probe for assaying cationic surfactants. 8-Methoxypyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid trisodium salt has also been used in combination with a boronic acid-modified viologen quencher to sense glucose at pH 7.4 in buffered aqueous solution.
