Reactive Orange 1 is mainly used for dyeing cotton, linen, viscose, and other fiber yarns and fabrics. It is generally not used for printing because it has high affinity and is prone to color differences. It can also be used to dye wool, silk, and nylon. For example, it can be used to dye bright red silk and spun silk in combination with Brilliant Red XB, and to dye maroon viscose and silk interwoven pile in combination with Red-Purple X-2R. It is also used for direct printing on silk and two-bath dyeing of polyester/cotton blended fabrics.
