Description and Uses
Fenoxaprop-ethyl is an obsolete phenoxypropionic herbicide and auxin plant growth regulator for control of woody plants and broadleaved weeds on land and in aquatic situations. It has a low aqueous solubility but is soluble in many organic solvents. It is not normally persistent in soil systems but may be in water systems depending on local conditions. It is not volatile and, based on its physic-chemical properties, it is not expected to leach to groundwater. Fenoxaprop-ethyl is moderately toxic to fish, aquatic invertebrates, algae and earthworms. Human oral toxicity is considered to be low but it may be an irritant. No information on chronic health impacts have been identified.
Fenoxaprop-ethyl is a pesticide.
