Description and Uses
Ammonium trifluoromethanesulfonate is a thermally stable compound with a wide range of applications in catalysis, batteries and organic synthesis. It is used as a cathode additive in proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells to increase the local oxygen concentration in the vicinity of the platinum catalyst, thereby improving single-cell performance.
Ammonium Triflate is effective as a semiconductor and useful in the synthesis of symmetrical pincer ligands from the group of m terphenyl compounds.
