Description and Uses
BASIC RED 29 is mainly used for dyeing acrylic loose fibers, fiber strips, and acrylic yarns. It is also used for dyeing and printing acrylic and blended fabrics (wool-acrylic, viscose-acrylic). It has little staining effect on wool and viscose, and the color is not bright enough. It can also be used for dyeing diacetate fibers and acid-modified polyester, as well as for direct printing on acrylic, diacetate, and acid-modified polyester fabrics. When dyeing in an acetate-sodium acetate bath, the pH should be between 4 and 6. It is often combined with cationic pale yellow 7GL (2GL) and cationic bright blue RL to form the three primary colors, and is used to dye light to medium colors such as beige, brown, camel, and gray on acrylic blankets. It is also used for direct printing on acrylic blankets.
