Direct Blue 106 is mainly used for dyeing and printing on cotton, viscose, nylon, silk, and wool, producing a bright blue color with excellent fastness and vibrancy. However, it is not suitable for discharge dyeing, as its migration and dyeing rates are relatively poor. It can also be used for dyeing blended fabrics such as polyester/cotton, polyester/viscose, and wool/viscose. It can be used in the same high-temperature bath as disperse dyes to dye polyester/viscose fabrics without significantly altering the color. When cotton, viscose, silk, and wool are dyed in the same bath, the resulting colors are similar. It can also be used for direct printing on cotton and viscose fabrics, as well as for dyeing leather.
