Description and Uses
Bromuconazole is a common fungicide used on a range of crops including cereals, fruit and vegetables. It has a moderate aqueous solubility and a low volatility. Depending on local conditions it may be persistent in both soil and aquatic systems. It tends to be moderately toxic to most fauna and flora but has a low toxicity to honeybees. It has a moderate oral mammalian toxicity but no other serious health effects have been identified.
Bromuconazole is used on winter wheat and barley for the control of foliar mildews, rusts and other diseases.
